				<description>&lt;p&gt;A reminder from EBCA VP Rebecca Fayed:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please join us on February 15, 2012 for the EBCA General Membership meeting in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School cafeteria, 7 to 9 pm. Significantly, 1) we will vote on a position on whether Lynnbrook is an appropriate site for the new middle school (you must be an EBCA member to vote - membership dues may be paid at the meeting ($15 per adult member)), and 2) Mr. Bruce Crispell, Director Division of Long-range Planning for Montgomery County Public Schools, will attend the meeting to describe implementation of the new elementary school boundaries for East Bethesda and to answer community questions.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<title>In memoriam John Krunosky</title>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Our community has lost one of our long-standing members.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;John Krunosky of Rosedale avenue passed away yesterday evening.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;John was a resident of East Bethesda for over 60 years.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Many knew him as the "Lawn mower man," a freindly fixture on the corner of&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Rosedale and Kentucky.&amp;#160; More information will be posted when available.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;The Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County and the B-CC Regional Services Center&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;have orgainized a 2 session seminar on community building.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Saturday,January 21, 10:00am - 11:30am at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane,Bethesda, MD - 2nd Floor see www.montgomerycountymd.gov/bcc for more info.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This will be a &amp;#160;hands-on seminar for community leaders! Leading a community organization&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;(PTA, civic association, church committee, etc.) can be a real challenge.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Successful management of people, issues, and conflict are key to the quality&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;of life in your community. This two-part interactive seminar will focus on&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;real world tools and techniques for fostering a collaborative and rewarding&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;environment. Discuss tips for running effective meetings and how to&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;anticipate and manage conflict. Your own experiences and practices are a&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;key part of this experience. 				<title>New Trees in Lynnbrook Park</title>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;As of today we now have ten new trees in Lynnbrook Park.&amp;#160; Two American elms&amp;#160;now frame&amp;#160;the park sign at the corner of Lynnbrook and Newdale,&amp;#160; If you continue past the rec center you will see two Japanese cherries along two new shade trees.&amp;#160; Three more are planted at the Maple Avenue entrance, replacing the oaks that were felled in the storm last September.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;Last night was the EBCA holiday party at BCCHS cafeteria.&amp;#160; Thanks to all who attended and our local donors Pizza Tempo and Starbucks.&amp;#160; We welcomed two new members, James DeVaney and Mayuri Guntupalli, who have recently located to Kentbury Drive.&amp;#160; I hope too many others were not turned away due to the impossible parking.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<description>&lt;p&gt;On Tuesday, there is a pre-submission community meeting on the 8300 Wisconsin project, a apartment retail complex in the triangle bounded by Wisconsin, Woodmont and Rosedale&amp;#160; The meeting will consist of a powerpoint presentation by the project team that will include an overview of the site and the property, the proposed project, and the M-NCPPC review process, followed by a question-and-answer session.&amp;#160; The project includes 370 luxury units and a large upscale supermarket.&amp;#160; Those concerned about the impact on our community please consider attending.&amp;#160; It will be held Tuesday, 7pm at the bcc regional services center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

				<title>MCPS Elementary School Boundary Meeting Nov 2</title>
