I should clarify.  We are looking to add a 2-story side addition.  The upstairs would add a master bathroom and closets and the downstairs would expand the kitchen/dining room.  We would tear down our existing detached garage.  Thanks.

Stacey:  We added a porch to our home and remodeled the basement.  Of the two contractors, Bradley Construction did the porch and I would highly recommend them.  They are not cheap but they delivered on time, under budget and gave us a great porch!  Pat Kenney
