Please stop by to learn more about Cub Scouts at Rosemary Hills Back to School night for 1st and 2nd grades on September 15 and 16. Or join us at Pack 255's Join Scouting night at 7:00 on Monday, Sept. 20th at the Chevy Chase UMC at 7001 Connecticut Avenue, Chevy Chase. Pack 255 has been serving kids in Chevy Chase and Bethesda since 1963, so we probably already have your son's classmates and friends in the pack (and perhaps even had the dad's too!) We focus on encouraging responsibility and building leaders while getting out and having a lot of fun. This year's Pack 255 Scouts: - Made and raced sailboats, cars, and rockets - Camped out & hiked to see a lighthouse on the bay - Created fabulous cardboard construction projects - from guitars to bridges - they blew us away! - Visited and hiked throughout the Patuxent National Wildlife Refuge - Supported Montgomery County Child Welfare, and joined the Boy Scouts to collect 1000 pounds of food for the needy. And learned to camp, whittle, shoot bows and arrows, and more! A quote from a Pack 255 Scout to his father after one of our pack activities: "Thanks Dad for the best day of my life".
