Price
Pepco in partnership with the national Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE) proudly offers this program to their residential customers at a promotional cost of $100, they normally average $400. You can also receive a $100 rebate when you do energy efficiency upgrades making the assessment FREE.
Incentives
Pepco and the Maryland Energy Administration currently have rebates that cover 50% of the total installed cost of energy efficiency upgrades up to $4,000. All upgrades are also eligible for a tax credit of 10% on materials up to $500.
Eligibility
You can take advantage of Pepco’s discounted rate for Home Performance with ENERGY STAR performed by Green Market Solutions as long as you:
•Are a customer of Pepco with an active account in Maryland.
•Are a homeowner or tenant in a single-family home, town home, row home or dwelling with 1 to 4 units that are primary residences. If you are a tenant, your landlord must provide written permission prior to the audit.
•Your home has central air conditioning or electric heat (such as a heat pump).
